Welcome to New Hope!

We hope you will consider visiting us here at New Hope.  Here is some special information that we hope is useful to you as you visit New Hope for the first time.

Directions

  • New Hope is located at 12323 S. Pennsylvania in Oklahoma City.  From the intersection of S.W. 119th and Pennsylvania, proceed South for approximately 1/4 of a mile.  New Hope will be on the West side of Pennsylvania.

Parking and Building Access

  • New Hope has ample parking to the North of our building with special visitor parking and handicap parking near the main entrance.  Our main entrances feature 'push button' door openers to accommodate our guests who may have difficulties opening and closing the door.

Sunday School

  • Our Sunday School begins at 9:30am.
    • ‚ÄčAdult Sunday School takes place in our Fellowship Hall.  To enter the Fellowship Hall, simply enter the main entrance on the North side of the building (this is the entrance that is furthest West - the furthest from from the street).  Once inside, turn left down the hall and you will be taken directly into the Fellowship Hall.
    • Children's Sunday School takes place in our children's classroom which is located just outside the Fellowship Hall.

Sunday Morning Worship

  • Our morning worship begins at 10:30am in our Sanctuary.  The Sanctuary can be accessed through the main entrance (the entrance on the North side of the building furthest from the street).
  • A nursery with trained nursery workers is available.
  • Our children begin worship in the main worship service at 10:30am.  During the early part of the service, children are invited (but not required) to come forward for "Children's Moment" with our Children's Pastor.  After children's moment, the children may either return to sit with their parents/accompanying adult or leave the main worship service to attend Children's Church which is led by our Children's Pastor and experienced children's volunteers.

What to Wear

  • We want you to be comfortable as you come to worship with us.  You will find a wide range of dress at Sunday School and morning worship; from casual to suit-and-tie.  Don't fret about wardrobe, just come.

What to Expect at New Hope

  • New Hope is a small but vibrant community of faith.  We hear regular comments about the friendliness and welcoming nature of New Hope.
  • Our worship service combines several Christian traditions; both traditional hymns and contemporary songs guide us into worship of God, obervation of communion (or Lord's Supper) takes place as a central part of our worship experience each week, a special time of prayer and scripture reading is important to our gathering, special music (either by the adult choir, children's choir, or soloists/groups) help us praise and prepare for God, and a meaningful sermon is delivered at the close of each service.
  • Our children are invited to participate in Children's Church which takes place at the same time as regular morning worship where our children sing, participate in lessons, enjoy arts and crafts, and play games.

How About Lunch?

  • On many Sunday's following morning worship, various groups go to lunch together for additional fellowship.  If you would like to get to know us better, ask any church member about lunch options.  We would enjoy having you join us for lunch, too.

Again, WELCOME to New Hope!
